Be A Servant, not a Girl Boss

Updated: Apr 7, 2021

It's easy to build your own kingdom. You are your own boss after all. However, that nagging feeling in the back of your head that something is out of order - yep, that one. That's a reminder to every believing mompreneur that our life is not our own. We are bought with a price. Everything we try to accomplish apart from Jesus is a sandcastle kingdom. Remember to build your foundation on the Rock. I know, sweet mama, you wouldn’t mean to act like the world. You wouldn't mean to go your own way without acknowledging God, but then again, neither would I. But, we get busy and forget to consult Him, and our trajectory is way far off from what He would have us do. We start to look just like the world. Not set apart. Not any different. And, as a result, we have nothing different to offer them. We miss what our gift was meant for in the first place. How does this happen?

The truth is, we can miss the mark so easily if we don’t start off right the first time and check ourselves along the way. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 So how do we acknowledge Him. Submit all your ways to Him. How you look, what you say, and what you do. How you look to your audience and to your clients should be loving. What is your message that lays the foundation of what you stand for in your business? Does it reflect Christ's heart? What do your words on your website and social media say to your audience? Is it full of controversy, complaining, or confusion? Or do you present your products with peace. What do you do that sets you apart? Do you serve your customers and respond to replies as if they were your friends? We are ultimately ambassadors for Christ. If you need to, re-evaluate your brand message: look, feel, and actions. Determine not to manufacture our message like we have the same cheap package. Infuse your business with all that you stand for from the get go. Remember to acknowledge Him.
