Learn More About This Position

& Next Steps

Thank you for your interest in the Marketing & Social Media Project Manager Position.

We'd love to learn more about you.

For your convenience, the full job description is included at the very end of this survey.

We recognize that oftentimes interview questionnaires are inherently biased and systemically discriminate against people from non-privileged communities.

In addition, we believe that there is a systemic issue in hiring - especially in the marketing industry - that disproportionately hurts people from marginalized communities, including people with intersecting identities - BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), LGBTQIA+, women and non-binary people, people living with disabilities and others with lived experience being part of marginalized communities.

Equity, inclusion, representation and diversity are more than just a trending hashtag or virtue signaling for us.

Because these values are at the core of our mission we strongly encourage applications from people with these identities or who are members of other marginalized communities.

We are a very intentional team and recognize we are not a fit for everyone.

Full Description of This Position

We are a digital marketing agency that primarily focuses on Instagram and Facebook ads. While our media buying team is in charge of creating and implementing the strategy, your role will be to communicate this strategy to our clients and work with them each week to ensure they are meeting project deadlines.

Your role will also be to support the organic social media strategies that we need them to implement.  Some of our clients are social media geniuses who need accountability and fresh ideas.  Other clients hate technology but have an important message to deliver and you are their lifeline.

You live and breathe online marketing — funnels, conversion optimization, list building, analytics, and launches are your love languages. You’re not afraid to dig into the data and pinpoint blind spots and you’re equally fearless in your ability to zoom out and bring big picture goals to life.  You’re experienced, highly confident in your online marketing skills, and ready to dive in headfirst and get results.

This position’s primary focus is to oversee the creation, execution, and conversion optimization of client’s launches, both live and evergreen. We need a marketing and project management master who knows how to juggle 1,574 moving pieces and who understands the world of digital course and coaching launches inside and out.

Our ideal candidate doesn’t look at a launch map and see random squares linked to one another — they see potential lives changed, potential profit, and potential for growth.

Staying up to date and watching others in the space is fun for you (you probably have a swipe file that’s about to put you over your Google Drive limit). You’re a forward-thinking action-taker and continuously learning, improving, and refining your skills is a part of who you are.

If you’re driven to work at a high-level with a fun lovin’ company where more growth equals more lives changed, keep reading…

This role is part-time and is work-from-home / remote work. You’ll report directly to our CEO and work closely with other key team members.

We’re not your average company — we always make sure our team members have plenty of freedom and flexibility to live their best lives, recharge, and have fun (major perks of working as a remote team!)

That said, the online marketing world doesn’t take breaks — that’s why we need our team members to be flexible too. The tasks required in this role sometimes step outside of the 9-5 schedule. Our dream Marketing Project Manager is open to finding their own rhythm and creating a schedule that serves their life while also ensuring they get the job done.

While your primary responsibility will be to assist our clients - you will also manage our company’s main social media platforms. This includes scheduling posts, researching hashtags, and other ways to optimize our social media performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  •  You’ll meet weekly with our clients each week to ensure they are meeting project deadlines, answer their questions, and to be the digital strategy team’s liaison to the clients.

  • Weekly audits of the content our clients are publishing and assessing their strengths and areas of improvement.

  • Communicating with the digital marketing team what organic assets and social media posts can be used as possible ads.

  • Guiding clients through creating, posting, and planning their weekly social media posts.

  • Social media management and strategy for our company and for our clients.

  • Working closely with other key team members, particularly the Director of Marketing, to execute the big picture vision for our launches and evergreen campaigns.

  • Always learning and implementing new skills and ideas where they make sense. You pride yourself on staying up to date with the latest digital marketing strategies and bring informed input to the marketing team
Finding and implementing ways to tighten up and improve our current processes.

  • Attending team meetings to deliver updates and offer input.
Answering client’s emails, questions, and connecting for extra phone calls if needed.

Skills and Abilities

  • 2+ years experience in the world of social media, digital marketing, launches, and project management

  • The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously — you get things done, meet deadlines and keep promises

  • Insane attention to detail and high standards when it comes to quality

  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think ahead and juggle lots of projects without dropping the ball

  • Positive, flexible, solution-oriented, and excited to work with a diverse team of digital marketing pros working toward common goals

  • Mature, coachable, and happy doing high-level projects as well as mundane design tasks (there will be a mix of both!)

  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) — you have a knack for offering constructive feedback, affirmation and ensuring everyone is on the same page

  • Ability to nurture strong relationships with clients.

Bonus Skills

  • Some experience with Clickfunnnels, Lead Pages, Highlevel or other landing page building software.

  • Some experience with Mailchimp, Infusionsoft, Drip, or other email software.

  • Some experience inside of Wordpress, Squarespace, Wix, or other website builders.

  • Some experience with Facebook ads.

Equity and Representation Matter to Us

We believe that there is a systemic issue in hiring - especially in the marketing industry - that disproportionately hurts people from marginalized communities, including people with intersecting identities - BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), LGBTQIA+, women and non-binary people, people living with disabilities and others with lived experience being part of marginalized communities.

Equity, inclusion, representation and diversity are more than just a trending hashtag or virtue signaling for us.

Because these values are at the core of our mission we strongly encourage applications from people with these identities or who are members of other marginalized communities.

Application Instructions

If you’d like to be considered for this role, please provide the following details:

Cover letter and PDF of your resume***
A video introduction
A book, podcast, online course, YouTube channel, course creator, celebrity, leader, etc. - who has impacted the way you view social media.

Application Special Notes

We recognize that the typical resume and cover letter formatting systematically favors applicants who have a more “traditional” work and education experience.

Please know that we place equal emphasis on a variety of experiences including (but not limited) the following:

Life experiences.
Entrepreneurial experiences.
Experience you’ve had managing your own business or brand.
Knowledge you’ve gained from listening to podcasts, reading books, attending webinars, taking online courses.

To be explicit:

Maybe you haven’t worked as a marketing director at a company. Instead, you have gained all of your experience managing your own social media and/or you have helped out some clients, family or friends as well.

That’s awesome.

Maybe you don’t have a college degree in marketing or you don’t have a degree at all. Instead, you listen to podcasts all the time, you’ve taken tons of online courses, you’ve hired a coach, you read voraciously, and you have gained experience by putting this knowledge into practice yourself.

We are all about that.

Create your resume and cover letter bragging about all of the above and we will love you.

If it helps - here are some prompts you may consider using in your cover letter or resume:

Tell us about your passion for social media and marketing? Where did it come from?
What experience do you have working in client services or customer service? It doesn’t have to be marketing experience.  Any customer service experience is helpful to know about.
What are some marketing or social media tactics you’ve seen working really well?

Have you taken any online courses? Hired a coach? Tell us about it.
